Hey there,

Ever since I installed the 4.1 update to my 2nd gen Apple TV, the Movies section of the main menu is not displaying the "Top Movies" Thumbnails on top of the menu list. In place of the thumbnails there is the :apple:tv logo (just like in settings)

Has anyone else had this problem? What's the solution?

Thanks so much for your help,

Ams.

That's just the way it works now. If you have rentals they will still show there. Maybe they got complaints that it was too commercial or unfairly promoting certain titles or maybe they have other plans for it. Who knows.

It works for me. The one I have rented is first, then a vertical line and then the Top Movies. Maybe you need to reset your AppleTV to pull the thumbnails back in.

I did a search and read that people (back in September) had solved their Movies menu problems by changing the location of their iTunes store to another country (US store) and then changing it back to the right one. Resets things somehow. Try that.

Fix

The fix is to reboot your apple tv by simultaneously holding the menu and down buttons on your remote.

I tried all of the above and can't get the top movies or tv shows back.
