Hello,

Sometimes when playing music files my Apple TV 'blips' the sound cuts out for half a second or so. The Apple TV is connected via optical to my amp.
I can also make this happen if I choose anything from the internet menu during music playback.

It seems that communication with my imac or the internet causes a cut out of the music playing.

All music files are synced to the Apple TV, not streaming from the iMac.

Is this normal? It's very annoying when you are listening to music to have such a cut out of sound.

What can I do to stop it?

I have the same (or similar sounding) issue with my 3rd gen Apple TV connected via HDMI to my HDTV. When watching a video, it has happened while watching a podcast and while in the Netflix app, the signal will occasionally hicough and the video and audio will cut out for about a second.

I've verified that all cables are seated firmly.
