i have seen some videos on youtube were people have managed to install appletv on there macbook pros, and i was wondering how i could do this. From what i have seen the have removed the old front row and added the new front row which is on the appleTV.

I'm just curious-maybe I'm missing the obvious, but what's the point of doing that? What can you do with aTV on a mac, that you can't do with front row?

Wait would this actually allow you to stream movies or music from another mac or PC in your house onto the mac running apple TV? If so, that could be very cool

I just think that apple tv is better.

You should really think this through. Better in what way? It doesn't play DVDs, for example. And it only plays video content that's in your iTunes library, where Front Row plays anything that's in your 'Movies' folder. The :apple:TV software is novel and has a nice interface, but I'm missing how it's better than front row if installed on your computer. (Incidentally, I have both, and love my :apple:TV, but would never replace Front Row with it on my MacBook).

I hate the front row interface, but i love the :apple: tv interface.
