If you have Aperture (I haven't gotten around to iPhoto yet, iPhoto doesn't have an

Aperture creates jpegs exactly at ~ 1060X728 pixels, if you want to fill full screen (as 35mm doesn't equate 16X9 format) turn on Ken Burns. Average photo is ~360kb and looks fantastic on my 720p 60inch Samsung.
