Apple TV question

Hello.

Now that netflix is out here in the UK, I am tempted to get the Apple TV, now If the NHL game centre was available in the UK this would finalize it for me. However I have heard conflicting reports that the NHL game centre is not available in the UK, you have to change the region to the United States or Canada, is there any truth to this? (I do realise that you also need a subscription NHL game centre)
