iPhone Apple TV remote apps

Hi,

The Apple Remote app can’t see my Apple TV anymore, the app is abandoned by Apple, so I am looking for a replacement.

I realize in control center there is a remote (which works), but for an elderly person it’s handy to have the app in the dock, rather than explain control center.

Any ideas for a good app?

I created a Shortcut with an icon and I added it to my Homescreen. The shortcut will open the control center's remote. I too was frustrated they got rid of the dedicated app. If you need the steps I can add them.
