So I've got an AppleTV HD and right now I have it set to sleep after an hour. However I want to mount it behind the TV or in my home theater cabinet when I finish it. So I won't be using the IR remote that the AppleTV has. Is there any downfall to setting the AppleTV to never go to sleep?

It's clearly not a powerhog and I can't see it using more than a few dollars a year to run without sleep. It's all solid state so is there really any issue with that?

Anyone do this?

the IR receiver on the aTV is pretty sensitive, a lot of people have luck mounting the aTV behind the tv, with the front pointing down at the floor. It's out of sight, but the IR remote will still work.
