Hi, I've got a few questions about using the Apple TV on it's own without a computer attached, I'd greatly appreciate any help thank you.

I assume it's possible to make your own videos on an iMac and store them on Apple TV?

If so, can you then play the video back through a monitor or TV connected to the Apple TV when the Apple TV is no longer on your wireless network e.g. if you've taken the Apple TV and monitor to an event like a trade fair or design exhibition? Will the remote work directly with Apple TV when away from the network?

Also is it possible to set a video on the Apple TV to repeat endlessly e.g. play a 20 min Video which then automatically starts from the beginning again?

Alternatively I guess you could do this all with a mac mini and monitor?

Thank you very much in advance for any answers to my questions.
Billy

As far as placing a video on the AppleTV and taking it with you to play goes, that will work as long as it is stored on the AppleTV's HD.

I'm not too sure if there is a setting that allows you to repeat a video over and over though.

Hope this helps.
