I'm not sure what's going on, but ever since I switched out my old router for the Time Capsule Apple TV keeps dropping the signal, forcing me to punch in the password every day or so. This also means that Apple TV no longer shows up in iTunes under devices unless I re-input the password on the ATV.

Has this been happening to anyone else? Did you find a fix?

If it matters, both of my computers and the ATV are running wirelessly. I've had no issues with the computers or my iPhone accessing the Time Capsule. It's only the Apple TV that is having issues.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
-anthony

Same thing happened to me. I dropped the password for now because it became too annoying. Not sure if a fix is out.

EDIT: Someone on the Apple Forums is reporting that the firmware update last week fixed the problem. I might try it out again then.

I don't have a time capsule but my Apple TV started dropping the signal last week as well. It happened for few days but has been fine since. Not sure what the problem was. I'm using a Linksys N router.

To me it sounds like something else is going on. I have unplugged my ATV many times and switched form AEBS to TC (transferred settings to TC when I switched). I have never had to input password again. I would try doing a full restore of all components to see if this resolves the issue.

EDIT: Also, try removing ATV in iTunes and add again before signal drops. You may also want to reinstall iTunes if nothing else works.
