Apple TV update?

Hey guys,

I'd love to buy an Apple TV for the Airplay functionality, however it seems like this is bad time of the year to buy the product as it hasn't been updated since last year.

Does anyone think there could be an updated device any time soon with the A5 chip?

There really haven't been any reports or rumors one way or the other, there was a report that amazon or best buy lowered their prices recently, probably as good a time as any for $99 it's not a bad deal.

This is exactly right, except both retailers are selling them for $89.

No new ATV until fall 2012 (IMHO).

I just bought one, knowing my luck they'll release an update in just over 2 weeks from now!

There also appear to be none available as refurbished units on Apples website. I wonder if this is a sign. If it's anything like the 1st gen...we won't see an update until 2014ish.
