I have a PS3. With that being the case, is their any advantage to getting Apple TV? Should I want one?

It depends on a couple of things. Do you have a lot of iTunes store video content? If so and you want to be able to play it on your TV, the Apple TV is really your simplest option. If you don't have a lot of iTunes content, then maybe an Apple TV is not for you. I have a PS3 and I got a Apple TV yesterday because I wanted to be able to view my iTunes library on my TV.

I know there are plug-ins for the PS3 that will allow you to playback your iTunes library, but because I have enough DRM video that makes that not workable, so I got a Apple TV yesterday to see how it works-and I am quite happy.

For the record, I got a PS3 mostly for the blu-ray capability-I play a couple of games but the blu-ray is the main reason I got the PS3.

That's my two cents..:)

Funny...

Weird I was thinking the same thing a week ago.
It would have been an impulse buy.
Im really enjoying Netflix on my PS3/iPad/iPhone but since Im in Canada, we cant get anything new or recent.
I might still get the Apple TV but lets just see what the damages are from this years Xmas first ;)
