How about an Apple TV w/ an A5 chip, 1080p, and Siri.

How sweet would that be?

You: "Play the movie iRobot"
Siri: "Playing the movie iRobot"
You: "Lower volume"
Siri: "Say 'Stop' when volume is low enough"

You get the point.

I wonder how close you would have to be to the Apple TV for it to hear you?

:D

Considering that the Apple TV has no microphone: Pretty damn close.

okay, i actually lol'd at this :)

on topic though, maybe the remote app could be updated to include siri features. heck, for that matter maybe siri could be updated with appletv features.

Absolutely! Just add mic to that first list you made.

That would be f.ing sweet.

Voice integration is pretty neat in the xbox.

It's cool to be able to control netflix/espn via voice commands. And it works really well, even when the TV is pretty loud.

However, I feel stupid sitting in my living room and talking to the TV (I feel even less cool waving at the tv to pull up the kinect menus).

Lets first get 1080p and the A5 first

Just update the Remote app to add Siri functionality.

and then you could use your iPhone 4S as the remote.

It turns out that I might be right and will be getting Apple TV with Siri according to current rumors. :D
