Hi

I have an Apple TV and have ATVflash so I can stream direct wirelessly from my NAS, this works fine for me.

So my question is, because of this I haven't even used my internal Apple TV HDD, what do people use there internal HDD for if they have ATVflash please?

Any ideas? it seems a waste to have 160Gb just doing nothing!

cheers

AppleTV OS will obviously need to reside there...

Any purchases made on your AppleTV will be stored there before being transferred to your iTunes box.

I sync all my photos onto ATV...but I generally stream. And this is without ATVFlash...just the normal ATV setup of being linked/synced with a PC running iTunes.

But sure...give it a try and get rid of the drive and see what happens. ;)

If you set the external drive to be the primary, the internal one just sits there absorbing wattage. The entirety of it is copied to the external.

However, I keep mine there in case I want to do a factory restore.
