Apple TV2 & iPhoto Library on external HD

Hi
I just got an Apple TV for xmas. Everything is fine with the configuration but now I am at the step of selecting the photos I want to share. I have my iPhoto library on an external HD and when I select it from iTunes in Advanced, select shared photos then share from and browse my external HD to select the iPhoto library, I cannot select it as it is grey out!!!
Any idea?
