First off, I have never used an apple tv before, so please be kind. I do have a google tv (free from google as I did some developing on it)... but it cannot play hulu.

1. Can apple tv2 play hulu (regular or plus)?
- Stream right from ATV2 or stream to ATV2 from laptop
- I believe there is a netflix app on ATV2... is there such an app for hulu?

2. Does jailbreaking allow you to stream anything and is it worth it?

Basically, I'm going to be dropping my cable this weekend... and I currently stream netflix thru my google tv (straight from the google tv itself). It's very conveinent, but I cannot do Hulu... so I'm thinking of buying an ATV2 to watch Hulu (versus plugging my laptop into my tv itself via HDMI cable).

Thoughts?

I've also read about EyeTV... it really worth the $150+ price tag it comes with?

I have fiber optic internet so streaming is normally rather smooth even bluray movies.

The AppleTV2 currently doesn't have Hulu. Netflix works great on it and homesharing is awesome. If you have music or videos on your computer you can enable homesharing and use iTunes to watch movies or listen to music.

As far as what yor can do with the jailbreak I don't know. I haven't done it to my AppleTV yet.

you can get hulu on the apple tv threw playon but thats not free

and jailbroken lets you xbmc & plex

also other video add-ons like icefi***
