Apple tv3 + MBP (ML) + Airplay Mirroring?

So i just got a new apple tv 3 (yay) and when i set everything up it looked as though airplay was working from itunes, but when i go to display preferences menu to see if i can mirror my display to the apple tv, that option does not exists. ( i am on 10.8) Ive seen numerous videos of this working and its just not for me.. Whats going on...

I have an 2.4 i5 mbp

You won't be able to mirror your MBP till Mountain Lion is released this summer
(or you could always install the developer version but IMO it's not quite ready for prime time)

Oops sorry perhaps you are already on ML per your original post :/
I may drop it on my MBP as well to see if mirroring works yet.

Airparrot audio is not working, and when i try to enable audio i get this message.

"AirParrot Driver Installation Failed
The AirParrot driver was not able to installed. Please contact support@airparrot.com for assistance."

I have no such problem. Did you reboot your mac? What OS do you have on your mac? You need Lion.

I thought you didn't need airparrot if on Mountain Lion...

In any event it also worked well for me...on Lion.
