UK
Yesterday the UK Apple store was full of certified refurbished ipads and iPhones but today there is nothing? I was looking at the 10.5 pro.

Do they have a down time to restock inventory or has everything sold overnight?

I think there's a down time at night in the UK. I remember a long long time ago it was 10pm to say midnight. it may be at different times now. but I think if you see NOTHING in the store then that's a down / refresh time.

If the store is not down, then it could just be out of stock. That's one reason I ordered the 10.5" Pro yesterday. Good deals have a habit of selling out quickly.

The good news is depending on the item, the stock replenishment may be quick.

I ordered a refurb 10.5” Pro from Apple yesterday, typing on it now! I’m sending back the 9.7” Pro. The 9.7” was shrink wrapped, new but very old stock (Argos eBay), the battery emptied far to fast on it. Running them side by side the 9.7” had lost 10% whilst the 10.5” was still on 100%
The 10.5” is a much much better tablet. Happy it all worked out!

Congrats! It'd definitely a nice little machine.

The other thing is the 9.7" "Pro" only has 2 GB RAM, while even the new iPad mini has 3 GB RAM. Also, the Apple Smart Keyboard is way smaller on the 9.7". The 10.5" keyboard has a key spacing of 18 mm, which is at the lower end of acceptable according to US occupational health guidelines, whereas the 9.7" has a key spacing well under 18 mm and therefore not recommend by them. All I know is at ~17 mm key spacing, my wrist hurt when I type.

In contrast, the 12.9" Pro has a key spacing of 19 mm, which is what all the Macs have. 19 mm is perfect for me, but the 12.9" Pro is just too big.

Apple has a pattern ...

After and before an Apple Keynote .. Apple will remove stock from the Refurb store. If its something that they discontinued. Those items will not show up in the Refurb store. It can be any item. Here I noticed the iPad Mini 4 is not listed.

Or possibly out of stock?

I ordered my iPad Pro 10.5" refurb from Apple Canada, just hours after the iPad Air 10.5" was announced last week.

It varies from item to item.

Yeah that's what I said. It can be any item. I see the 10.5 IPP here in stock. I bet a few days from now they will be gone and then days later back in stock.
