Unless you expect an Apple software engenieer to answer this question, I believe no memeber of this forum can answer your question.
I'm guessing the next update won't be until the itunes store starts offing HD res movies. So likely not till at least june.
Rumor has it that 50 top Apple engineers are working around the clock to have the top-secret Smell-o-vision feature ready for release "on a Tueday" sometime "this summer." However, other sources claim release of Apple's iSmell-o-vision has been "delayed" until 4Q07 or 1H08.
