Curious as to if there’s a time difference when one could order from ATT vs Apple. I’d like to just do my upgrade on ATT, since it’ll be right there on my bill, but IDK if ATT will be ready for ordering as soon as Apple.

Also, it looks like the time has changed for Apple as well. Is that correct, or did I just read it wrong?

I have been unable to see a lot of details - our cellular/internet have been worse than usual since the hurricane blew through here.

If you're referring to "time change" for pre-orders, then yes, it has changed from 12:00 am to 5:00 am Pacific Time.

scroll down and you'll see the respective times and dates.

Thanks! I wonder if ATT will have them available for preorder at the same time.

It does look the countdown timer on ATT's website is an hour off.

Edit: It might just be going off Pacific Time and not my time zone?

I can’t even find the timer. Maybe that’s new since I last looked.

Just looked and it’s showing 5 a.m. PT on ATT also, so that’s good. I’ll try there, and if no luck, I’ll just go through Apple.

For the iPhone 6 and iPhone X I’ve had a easier time checking out using att website over apple. It drops the same exact time as appple pre order nothings different . Usually get release date delivery too hoping for the same this year. I do have apple set up in case att is slow or lagging behind

I was wondering how that would work. I guess I could try that route.

I could also just do mine using my Apple Card for interest free, which doesn’t require my doing anything specific to prepare. I just wanted do ATT so I don’t have a separate charge. I’ve been holding onto my upgrade for a while now.

Personally, I would stick with Apple as opposed to AT&T. I had a bad experience with AT&T 'pre-order' a few years back. Apple's phones all shipped on time, but AT&T's did not and they refused to cancel the order even though it didn't even show it was preparing to ship.

Yup! Right at 8am est att should allow you to check out your iPhone 12 and get a estimated delivery window

Also, if you do monthly payments with AT&T, your iPhone is locked. Once you pay it off, you can request it to be unlcoked. If you do the iPhone upgrade program through Apple, the iPhone you get will be unlocked. You can use other SIM cards. This is good if you travel (I guess this isn't happening too much in the near future). I prefer ordering directly from Apple because they seem to always deliver on time.
