I updated my Ultra Watch to watch OS11 last week. I had the battery fast drain issue. Did a factory reset on the watch and restored from backup. Battery fine now but I have tried to add back 2 cards that will not reinstall on my watch. I removed them completely from my phone and watch then reinstalled on the phone. Went to Wallet and Apple Pay in watch app, tapped on “ADD”, entered CCV#, then got pop up saying card not added, contact issuer for more information. Contacted Visa, Apple, Citi Visa Fraud. Everyone says there is nothing wrong🤬🤬. I say it is Apple Wallet on Watch OS11. I removed a Visa card that was on my watch, added one that previously didn’t work, tried to add back the one I just removed and now it gets refused. Any ideas?

I have the same issue. My Ultra let me add 2 of my 3 cards but the third it just won’t accept.

This is definitely a Wallet//Apple Pay issue since Watch OS11. Here’s why! After watch battery issue, I factory reset watch and attempted to reenter all my cards to watch wallet with the above mentioned problem. I then removed all my cards from Wallet on my iPhone 15 Pro Max, iOS18. They all reinstalled with ZERO problems, including my Arizona Drivers license. The drivers license reinstalled on my watch with no problems. I then went to my iPad Pro, 6th Gen 12.9, iOS18. Added all of the same cards I have on my phone to Wallet/Apple Pay on iPad. Again NO PROBLEMS. I am going to call Apple Support again tomorrow and enlighten them once more that it has to be a Wallet problem on Watch. I had no problems prior to Watch OS11, not even with the Beta

I’ve contacted Apple and they say they’ve done all they can do, not Wallet problem. Apple Care+??? I talked to Citi Bank fraud department. They say there are no fraud indicators on my account. That’s good but doesn’t solve my problem. Anyone else having this problem????????? How can it not be a Watch/Wallet problem if I can add card to Wallet on iPhone and iPad but not the watch? This is BS Apple!!! Help please.

I have been having compatibility issues with Apple Wallet and Citi cards as well... and only Citi.

Are you able to add card to wallet on your iPhone or iPad but not the watch? I’ve tried adding by tapping the ADD button next to my Citi card on Watch Wallet. I also tried adding as a new card but got same message.

I talked with Barclay the other day. Depending on the card type, branding, issuing bank or financial institution there can be limits set on their end on how many devices the card can be added to, frequency of attempts and location.

One card I reported missing. within 5 minutes all my devices were updated with the new number and usable.
Others required call ins.
2 cards needed to be removed and re-added.
1 card needed to be removed, re-added and call in to activate apple pay. Found out that bank requires a new call in each time. 6 devices can be a pain.

I had issues with it not accepting the security code.

After wiping the card from my Wallet totally the re-doing it a few times it finally took.

My AWU2 won’t work at card readers anymore. Never an issue previously. iPhone works fine.

Will try the old unpair/repair routine. If that doesn’t work, might be time for AC+.
