Hi,

So I got my Apple Watch series 10 on Friday and I have a question about the screen.
I read the watch has a LTPO OLED display.

Is it the same as AMOLED in the sense that : is the black color managed by turned off pixel ?
In other words, would a black facewatch save more battery then a white face watch ?

Thank you

yes, technically a darker background face would use less power than a light background watch face.

you'll notice though that when the display goes to inactive/sleep it typically goes to a dark background version lessening battery usage.

all that said, I've not seen anyone show a discernibly different battery life depending on watch face chosen.
