There is at least $300 (Cad) difference in aluminium vs. Stainless steel (SS). SS does not come without cellular and not sure about the resale value vs. Aluminium. Which one did you get?

Resale?
To get a good idea on resale, my recommendation is to take a look at swappa.com and see what the series 2 are selling for compared to new.

SS residual value is low and comparable to Alum. I ordered the S3 SG Alum LTE and will wear it with my SB SS link bracelet from my SS S0. Looks great together and given an upgrade cycle of 2-3 years this is a better value. If you are abusing your watch, however, SS will hold up better. My SS S0 is still in pristine condition.

That is what I am realizing - resale of SS is really bad - not sure why. It is going to be even more depreciating given both SS and aluminium have same internals.

The stainless model, although well-made and is more premium with the sapphire display/316 L stainless. It doesn't hold value anything over the aluminum model, mainly because the aluminum model is more available and much more affordable.
