Apple Watch and Sign Language and Steps

Hi

I don’t have Apple Watch but thinking about might get Apple Watch one day.

I think Apple Watch count steps with arm movement right? What happen if Deaf person signing? Will it count steps? I am curious if Apple Watch can tell difference walking vs not walking but lot arm movement like signing.

Steps require a specific moment. Try walking and look down at your arm. This movement is what counts as 2 steps.

I see. If arm downwards and move up and down count steps. If arm around chest area and move shouldn’t count steps.

I love how it says I have achieved 6 hours of standing when I have been asleep!
