Apple Watch automatically sending check in after workout

Hi,

MY Watch is sending a notification automatically to some contacts when i've finished a workout. It's even been going to an ex of mine!

Any way to turn this off? Very frustrating.

Thanks but sorry, it's not that. It's the new check in feature in workouts introduced in watchOS 11. That's the normal share fitness.

This check in feature is picking random contacts to notify!

So are you saying the watch sends check in notifications even when you don't start a check in? Or do you start a check in, and it sends notifications to random people in addition to the person(s) you intended to send it to?

I don't even touch the check in button in the workout. I just do my normal workout (Outdoor walk) and when I finish it it sends a check in to random contacts in my phone. It's been sporadic but very frustrating. I find I have to delete the workout and then re-add it, but even then a few days later it will start sending the check ins again. Normally it sends them when I finish the workout.

Just can't find anywhere to turn the feature off!

Only setting to turn this off is below 👇

Also avoid pressing the yellow check in button near the pause button when you are ending or pausing the workout, or using water lock.
