Apple watch brings Apple Pay to older iPhones

Just reading about apple pay and i was surprised to read that in store apple pay transactions can be carried out with an Apple Watch paired with older iPhones, including the 5 and 5C ie without touchid.

It is quite a big deal for Apple Pay because with the addition of a watch millions more users can make payments without buying a new phone.

Starting out with older iPhone accessibility is brilliant, and really gives Apple Pay a kick start. Kudos to Apple.

That's awesome! Now the question is... $199 plus AC+ and taxes for an iPhone 6, or $349 minimum for the Watch and keep my iPhone 5? Probably the iPhone 6 because I don't wear a watch now since my iPhone is my watch.
