Hello,
I unpaired and paired my Apple Watch to a new iPhone. I was very surprised and disappointed to see that, without any warnings or messages, I lost all my activities. Furthermore I couldn’t see anything on Apple Health too.
What is that? Does Apple not sync the data for privacy reasons?
Is there a way to move an Apple Watch to a new iPhone without loosing everything??

Any idea?

Thanks in advance
Fabio

As long as you had iCloud Health on you will be fine. It just takes a while to sync back all the data. Probably already in the process by now.

It takes AGES to come back sometimes.

There's a status bar that's visible in the Activity app for a while when you set up the watch again on a new phone but that's not the end of it. I was reassuring a guy on another board, he wouldn't believe me initially and thought his data gone but 2 WEEKS later it finally all appeared.

I suspect it only trickles back when on charge and in wifi range.

I believe the only thing that's going to lose your exercise data is if you remove your previous Apple watches from the Health app data sources.
