Trying to find either photo or video examples of how the Apple Watch leather bands and the Hermes leather bands have aged so far with those that have bought them.

Bought into Apple Watch with a 38mm SG Sport & black sports band, thinking of the entry level watch as a toe in the water. I've since REALLY taken to the watch & notifications, setting timers in the kitchen (Hello Cookie Monster!) and the look and feel of the watch.

Found the sport band a little sweaty towards the end of each day of wearing the watch so bought a black nylon band and love this too now.

I'm thinking of moving up a level in terms of material and feel to the regular stainless steel watch and I'm considering either the Apple brown leather strap or the Hermes brown single tour edition. Trouble is all of the reviews, unboxing videos etc for both straps are all for brand new watches & straps. There seems to be little to no photo/video/descriptions of the straps several months on, how they aged etc - can anyone point me at such or provide photos/description of their own straps?

Had an Apple brown leather case for my iPhone 6 which aged beautifully over time, darkening really well. After dropping it and taking a chunk out of the case I;ve replaced it with new and decided I don't like the new unnamed case as much as I did the aged, worn one.

I have an Apple Midnight Blue leather loop and it's holding up well. It's very comfortable, too. You mentioned that the sport band gets a little sweaty toward the end of the day. When you upgrade to the SS, you may also want to consider a Milanese Loop (either Apple or 3rd party). The metal mesh breathes, which makes it good for hot summer days.

Appreciate the tip - did try on the Milanese Loop back when I first bought into AW June or so last year; did like it but balked at the price for a then unproven technology. Can see the point in having more than one band for different occasions and switching occasionally to keep things fresh.

There are some good 3rd party Milanese on eBay and Amazon. My wife got me one for Chirstmas and I really liked it. As far as the leather loop, I'd just go ahead and pay the Apple Tax for the OEM. Had a third party LL and it didn't hold up very well.
