yeah it's crazy there is no mention of this..already ordered the black/volt and the platinum/white...delivery for Friday. It says ready for in store pick up friday also, but I wonder if any of the stores will get any in today.
Pretty bummed there is a new classic buckle, as I just bought one a month ago. Oh well..nothing I can do.

That's a pleasant surprise. The ventilation holes are the only improvement I would make on the original Sport strap.
Left up to me, I'd get a Nike strap, brown and leather Classic straps, and a link bracelet, and I'd be done. I think I'm not taking advantage of the personalization abilities of the AW.

Just bagged the Anthracite/Black band.
Can't wait to try it as I cycle a 30 mile (15 miles to & from) commute everyday and the sports band gets a bit sweaty!

I bought a Nike Watch on Sunday with the Black/Volt Band (with the intention of it motivating me to get healthy) as I preferred it over the Black/Grey one.....looking at the pic of the new band it looks like the grey holes have gone and it is all black!
Hmmmm....may think about swapping for that one as I also bought a white sport strap
That's if I end up keeping it anyway as i'm still not 100% sure it is worth the money as some of the apps I have been using still need me to take my phone with me

For my AW, I've still only got a black Sport band.
Although I really like the Sport band a lot -- both functionally and for comfort, it might be my favorite band among all my watches -- I want to have more straps so I could change the AW's personality more often.
I wear other watches to the office (no gadgets allowed), and when I do, I remember how it's fun to wear something different every few days. I'm wearing my Seiko diver today, for example, and sometimes wear my PVD-plated Rado with tiny diamonds on its dial.
On weekends or while teleworking, though, I usually wear the AW, but I'm a little disappointed that I haven't yet invested in new "looks" for it.
I can't say that the AW is boring, however. But I will say that I appreciate its ability to change its style so easily, and I want to take advantage of it. None of my other watches can change straps as easily.
Now I just gotta talk my wife into letting me splurge.
Maybe after we sell our condo in DC...
2 of the 3 new separate Nike bands are new color combos. The anthracite/black looks like a dark gray and black, and the white/platinum looks white and very light gray. Think they will sell out? Demand was high for the removed nike bands from Watch sets on ebay but now that's a crash unless you want the other Nike color combos not offered separately, but seems black/volt was the most sought out and it's $49 now not $100+ ebayed.
Are these ventilation holes in the band that much an improvement over the Apple Sport band?
I wonder if the better ventilation is noticeable. Any comments on this?
Actually, the ventilation holes are nice to have and they do work as intended. The issue with the Flueroastamer bands is they stick and prevents your wrist from breathing.

I'm thinking of ordering one of each color. I got my Nike watch on Friday so I'm no in a hurry to get some more new bands yet. I got a black and product red band from Apple over the weekend as well.

They arrived. Not posting pics of Black/Volt as that's been around a lot, but more pics of Platinum/White. Not sure how this compares to the original grey/white?

I had my fingers crossed yesterday that they would be offering it and found it before it was mentioned as part of the new options, I already ordered it and it will be here today! I couldn't be more excited, I was upset I didn't get the Nike+ watch but don't care anymore since I have the band I really wanted.
