Hi everyone.

Today I bought my first Mac! I now own a M1 MacBook Air. This is my first MacOS computer, so there was a bit of a learning curve coming from Windows. I tried to set up the unlock Mac with your Apple Watch feature, and everything seems checked off(even the Unlock Mac with Apple Watch). But for some reason, nothing seems to happen when I try to go to unlock the Mac. I have the Series 6 Watch, and both devices are up to date with software. Has anyone else had this issue, or is this just user error on my end?

Yes it's a common issue covered by multiple threads on this forum. Here's one but there are more. You're not alone with this one.

Annnnnnnd it's suddenly working...false alarm? Lol!
Good luck! Mine works most of the time. Sometimes I think the Bluetooth signal is weak so it won't unlock. I only had that one time where it absolutely refused to work at all. It almost seems like unlock with AW is in beta but I like it.

Thanks! Hm, maybe. Perhaps it only does it when you actually get up and are away from the Mac for a certain amount of time? That's just a guess but then again I haven't had a Mac for more than a day!

Just curious, is it still working to open with AW?
