Just thought I'd put this out there, when do people think that you'll be able to pre order and Apple Watch and then also purchase one?

It's likely (if it's anything like the iPad) that the pre-orders will go live about a month before you can purchase the device. But as Apple has said 'Early 2015' when do you think that'll be? I'm sure it'll be within the first three months of the year though.

Another thought? Would it be possible that Apple will release the watch in Janurary, and therefore get the whole quarters product sales within the quarter results?

Get discussing!

I don't think Apple is trying to time its release, otherwise they would release it before Christmas. I think they have technical problems to work out. I forget which feature, but it seemed during the demo the VP was consciously avoiding the use of certain features. I could be completely wrong about that, but listening to the tone of his voice and body language, along with what was up on the screen it seemed that way to me. I have also read that they're still working on the battery and charging function.

Yeah, that's a good point. The fact which Journalists were not allowed to use the watch during demo time adds weight to that fact. Also, someone on a podcast said that it could be because some of the Apps may not yet be finished, and may simply just be a jpeg.

My prediction is a Tuesday event the third week of March, which also includes new iPads to be released. It will be followed by preorders the next week and sales in store the Friday of the week after preorders.

That's my prediction at least..

Why would new iPad's be released in March though. Apple hasn't released iPad's in March since 2012.

I dont see why not?

I don't see them releasing someone now before Christmas?

I'd say that based in past history, it's fairly likely that Apple will hold an event on Tuesday 21st October 2014 to announce new Mac's (Quite possible a Retina iMac, Retina Thunderbolt Display, new Mac Mini, new Mac Pro and if we are lucky, there's a good chance of Broadwell MacBook's if Apple has been able to get the chips early. I'd also expect Apple to announce new iPad's, probably a new iPad Air with A8 Chip, M8 Chip, new camera, Touch ID and possible some other new features. They may also announce a similar iPad Mini.

Ah, yes, that also makes sense.

There is no Watch SDK yet, so it might be launched alongside new iPads which might receive UI updates that then needs a beta for developers..
