Hi,
I have an Apple Watch Series 2 which i would like to protect from damage, wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a particular protective case? Have researched a few but advice seems to conflict, does anyone use a case/bumper that does not damage the watch when fitting or after prolonged use? Would be grateful for any comments.

I generally don't recommend protective cases that surround the Apple Watch casing, usually because debris can get inside there and cause rubbing and damage the casing.

However being you asked, Consider Tough Armor from Spigen.

Thanks for the reply, i have checked out this protector on Amazon, and have a Spigen case for my iPhone which is great, but i notice that some of the reviews mention damage to the watch case with prolonged use of this bumper, i guess the answer is to remove the protector and clean it and the watch on a regular basis? Have also looked at ‘all in one’ cases and straps like the Supcase Unicorn Beetle, but most reviews mention the poor quality of the materials used, so not convinced this would be a worthy option for the watch?

I can't offer any feedback on the Supcase, but if you want to protect the Apple Watch, then I would suggest removing the protector from time to time and clean the protector and the Apple Watch to prevent any scratching.

This is the case I used on my gold aluminum Series 2.

I got it on Amazon last spring but noticed it's not on their site anymore. It was from a company called UMTELE.

[doublepost=1515586613][/doublepost]Hi
Thanks for the replies, as I am paranoid that I may damage my lovely AW I have decided to protect it with a Caseology Vault cover, it seems to have the best (and most consistent!) reviews, it fits like a glove on my S2 watch, and is quite minimalist and does not detract from the watch itself. As previously mentioned I think the key to preventing damage to the watch is keeping both the watch and cover as clean as possible! Now to find a good dual bedside charging dock!

I used the Spigen case briefly on my S2SS, and my wife used a soft TPU/silicon type clear case on her S2 Nike. Big mistake. After only a month or so, INCLUDING taking the case off and cleaning it and the watch, both watches show evidence of micro abrasions and wear. I now also have a S3SBSS and I will never put a case on it. We're both desk jockeys who take off our watches when we do dirty or sweaty chores, etc., and so there was no reason for this to happen to our watches other than unexpected sand, grit, dust, crumbs, etc. from getting trapped inside the case and rub against the watch.

The clear case was the best evidence because even a couple days after weekly cleaning or so, there was stuff in there. I asked what in the world was she doing!? Hard to know. Cooking, eating, laundry all must have contributed.

Sure, you could ding the watch without a case, but you WILL scratch up your watch with a case in a matter of time perhaps without extreme care, which was more inconvenient than I was willing to do with regular cleanings.

Edited to add pics of mine in the Spigen. I do like and still use the Spigen tough armor band, but it appears to be discontinued. Glad I got two!
