It seems that Apple’s decision not to include a charger with several versions of the Apple Watch Series 6 has completely split opinion to the extent that no amount of debate will change a person’s mind.
So that wasn’t the purpose of me posting this thread – they’ve made the decision and if you want certain models of the Series 6, you’ll have to use an existing charger or buy a new one (like it or not).
Having not needed to make this decision when purchasing the Apple Watch Series 4 and Series 5, my question is, would there be any point in purchasing the Apple 12W charger as opposed to the 5W version?
My speculation is that the Watch would not be able to draw upon the extra power, so the answer would be a “no”, but I don’t know that for sure.
If there was a chance of improving overall charging time, it would definitely be worth it for me.
Anyone know for sure please?
(I am aware, of course, that the Watch would only draw the power it needs and that the extra capacity of the charger could be used for other devices, but it is the Watch that I am concerned about as I don’t plan to use other devices with this charger 😎👍)
[Edit: @tednol correctly pointed out some models do come with the 5W charger. Post edited accordingly]
