Hi everyone!

A couple of days ago I purchased a Series 6 44mm Apple Watch in stainless steel. I noticed yesterday that upon adjusting my watch on my wrist it made a audible click and I felt it come from the display underneath my palm. I then wiggled the display from side to side with my fingers to notice that it clicks and creaks. I could feel that the display actually moved quite a bit and with little pressure. I took it back to the Apple store today to swap it out for another. The Apple Specialist was quite surprised as she too could hear it despite the store being quite loud.

Ive since returned home only to find that my second replacement also does the same thing but worse. If you move the display around you can even see a small gap develop between the sapphire crystal display and the stainless steel body. Is anyone else having this issue? I’m trying to ascertain whether it’s across the board or perhaps just present on particular units so then I can make the decision when I return to the Apple Store later today as to whether I try a 3rd Apple Watch or just get a refund and not worry about it. =) Thanks everyone!

Hi there Apple Fans! So for anyone that may come across this thread I just wanted to let you know that I had it exchanged again with a 3rd Apple Watch, same variant of 44mm SS in silver with Milanese band and the display doesn’t seem to creak or click, so far so good.

The staff in store agreed with me and came to the conclusion that perhaps due to the removal of the force touch display components it could be that the tolerances are different and the sole cause of the issue. So it seems to be batch related. I hope this helps anyone that may come across the same issue. Take care everyone! =)
