I'm thinking of getting an apple watch series 3 38mm my wrist measures at 12.5 cm do you think the straps would be ok? Could you recommend any for me, and has anyone else experienced this before?

if you're close to an apple store, they have multiple combinations you can try on, so you can see and feel the different sizes and band styles.

I would strongly recommend the series 4. The series 4 has fall detection which may be important for you. I would also suggest loop bands over sports bands as they can be much easier to fasten and unfasten then the other bands.

It’s more complicated than it might seem. If your CP makes it more likely that you will bump into walks or barriers than others, I woukd suggst the SS series 4. You can get that with the Milanese Loop which is magnetic and therefore infinitely adjustable. Otherwise you can get it with the sports Loop band, which works by hook and loop (Velcro) type system. Try each at the Apple Store and see which you can best handle. The ML is more expensive. But maybe easier. Another alternative is the Leather Loop, which is also magnetic and infinately adjustable. The leather loop comes in two sizes.

The Milanese strap is magnetic and you can adjust it to fit your wrist. Same with leather ones with holes in them.

I vote for the leather loop. Very comfortable and very adjustable. My wrists change and it is nice to be able to increase or decrease the size quickly. I have used the same Apple leather loop for almost two years and I swear it still looks like new. Desperately was searching for another black leather loop but had to order from overseas. It was $99 which saved about $50.

The OP should make sure they are not allergic to a leather band. Also if the OP just wants to put their wrist through without having to disconnect in any way, they will need to check out the sizes at an Apple store. They may or may not need the large. Last, if they want to shower with the watch, they might be better served with the ML. Either option would be great, depending on need/use.

Two FYI things:

I bought a metallic, magnetic strap on Amazon for $12. It's by Orobay and I love it.

Fall detection will be off by default if you put in your age and you're under 65. If you get a S4 you can still manually turn it on.
