Apple Watch Sports Band durability

Hi all!
Got my Apple watch series 6 last friday.
My doubt is related to the sports band (in my case, the black sports band).
Noticed that after these couple of days of normal and carfeul use, that the parte of the band that goes to that "loop" and tucks under the other half of the band starts to get a bit shiny, losing that matte finish.
I assume this to be normal.
How well will this age?
Will this happen to the whole band, and if so, will it look good after a couple of months of normal use?

The darker bands are more prone to becoming shiny in my experience but a good wash usually restores them.
