Hi guys,
I just realised that the biggest and most important watch convention in the world will be taking place during March 19 to March 26, in Basel Switzerland. Baselworld has the worlds most important watch brands all under 1 roof, where they also unveil some of their newest models.
Then it hit me! Apple would be incredibly smart showing off the Apple Watch models at Baselworld, just like they showed off the watches at Colette during the Paris Fashion week.
If Apple does do this, it shows they are taking the watch VERY seriously (they already are), and it is not positioned as just a smart watch.
I would think that the Apple Watch event to show more details about the watch (including complete pricing) would happen before Baselworld, maybe March 10 or 17. Then continue building the hype at the biggest watch convention in the world, and sales would begin just a short period after.
I am sure that if Apple does show if the Apple Watch at Basel World, all eyes will be on them, and not the other big players (Rolex, Patek, AP, etc.), showing Apple is ready to play with the big boys.
What do you think?
