Apple Watch unlock Mac broken?

This stopped working when I upgraded to Catalina 10.15 Beta (19A582a).

I unchecked the box in Security & Privacy then rechecked it and it says "Your Mac was unable to communicate with your Apple Watch."

Also seeing a constant 1 red badge by Apple ID even after I login.

I did a Catalina clean install and no problems with Apple Watch unlock.

At one point, it randomly stopped working for me.
This worked to get it back on track:

- Uncheck "Use apple watch to unlock" in macOS System Preferences.
- Reboot Mac & Watch
- Recheck "Use apple watch to unlock"

I did that a few times, but now it seems to work.

Still have the red badge by Apple ID no matter how many times I login...

I had the constant red badge to sign in...The only thing that worked for me was to sign out of iCloud...restart then sign in again.
