When i first heard about the Ipad i was like......"ok, so what?" but since then i have been slowly convincing myself how I could use one and in what settings it would be better than my desktop or macbook pro.

As soon as i heard about it i texted my friend who LOVE Micro$oft and hates Apple he makes fun of me for just about any Apple product I own, So i texted him and said "i don't want to hear it, i think it is stupid too"

He just called me today, and said he got the message and never texted me, because he genuinely thinks its a good/cool product.

Could he just be one of many new potential Apple customers?

How about this for widening the market. My friend told his mum/mom - a 60 something, book devouring, technophobe - about the iPad. She wanted to watch the 5min iPad video. When she finished that, SHE PROCEEDED TO WATCH THE ENTIRE KEYNOTE!

But wait it gets better, then she got him to burn it to DVD to go and show her 5 book swapping friends. Five grans sitting in a lounge room watching a Steve Jobs keynote. Now THAT'S magical.
