Apple WiFi Module in M1 Macs?

iFixit lists the M1 MacBooks as having a USI 339S00758 WiFi module, but after some research it seems that USI is a commercial/industrial supplier that has some sort of joint venture with Broadcom. Does anyone know if the Wifi chip in the new Macs are a custom deal using Apple’s in-house team or a custom made solution from a third party?

Based on the press release from the USI/Broadcom joint venture. The USI chips are Broadcom chips which have been miniaturized. Basically Broadcom designs it but doesn't have the manufacturing tech to build it the size they want. Which many chip designers do now. Although it's surprising that it wouldn't bear the Broadcom name. So, USI must be more involved in the design process than usual.

That’s what I thought too, but this seems to be SIPs for smartphones rather than laptops. Is it possible that Apple is using the same chips it puts in iPhones in its MacBooks? Seems unlikely but not entirely un-Apple.
