apple world travel adaptor kit

Hey,
from earlier forums I remember reading people suggesting the no need to purchase the adaptor kit. I am in Turkey and I am using the little adaptor end that i used for my previous HP PC laptop - just a little generic southern europe/middle east end - Those little ends that you plug in the american end and then plug into power.

When i plug it in power, it works and charges the MBP. However the feel of the computer is weird as if it is having a minor electric shock. The areas around the keyboard feels weird on my arms and fingertips as if the computer is "trembling."

I apologize that I do not have the proper english vocab to explain this.

When I was in the US, when the MBP was on charge it did not make as much noise or it did not feel like it was "trembling"

Please let me know if this is you think because i am not using Apple's own kit. I assume that i do not need a power convertor, that those are built in.

I cannot tell you why you computer is acting different when plugged into a different country... that is not normal.

I can tell you that buying the Apple World Travel kit will not make a difference. The Apple world travel kit is exactly what you are using now, with the only difference being purely aesthetic.

You may need a new power adaptor.

Slight electric shock is a documented problem.

Are your plugs grounded? Try to find a plug with a ground. If not, you might want to try calling Apple.

on electric shock/vibration when on charger and charged:

thanks. i will look into these and edit the post. the electric shock vibrating type of effect happens mainly when the battery is fully charged, not while charging. what do you think? also, could this mess up something on the computer?
