How many of you who bought the Mac Pro (2019) and the Pro Display XDR have grabbed an AppleCare+ plan? Yes/ no then why?

I only have the Mac Pro. I always buy AppleCare. I think I have only had to use it for two of my Macs in the last 15 years but it more than covered cost of all my AppleCare purchases.

I've never done AppleCare for any of the Apple devices I've ever owned; and have owned several. Until this one. I've also never spent as much money on a single Apple device as I did this one, and that's one of the major reasons I added it. I'd bet the odds of me actually needing to use it are basically zilch over the next 2-3 years, but it's there if I need it.

I don’t always get it on desktops since they move around a lot less than laptops but this significant single investment is worth the small amount of extra money to have peace of mind. I also got it because of the international repair support (yes, I actually plan to fly with this computer and already have a case for it).

i definitely got this. pocket change compared to what i paid for the machine. And i am not wealthy by any means lol

No brainer to get it for this machine. It's super expensive, and a brand new model that is untested.

I generally get apple care for the more expensive things apple sells.
