Do I understand it right that the fee is around 299 USD if I break it?
If it's so my homeincurens are much cheaper.

Tell me something... honestly... what can one DO to a Mac Studio to "break it" ...?

I never buy Apple Care, period.

Yes, I realize one day I could regret such a decision.

However, generally, if anything is going to go wrong with your Apple product it will do so during the initial warranty period.

And, with the Studio having no moving parts, the chances are even smaller that something will go wrong with it.

However, I do realize people do need to sleep at night so I don't blame anyone for considering the purchase.

I bought it at about USD 35/year, so the price seemed reasonable for the small chance of failure. These aren‘t just monitors; if something goes wrong with the processor or speakers or webcam or display I’m covered.

I think the OP is talking about the Mac Studio (computer) not the Studio Display.

$60/year in the US.
my config was ~$3500 so I got it, but, as always with AC+, you get many different opinions
