I am sure this has been answered but after some searching through the forums, I can't find the answer.

I am paying monthly for AC on my new iPad Pro 2021. If I pay monthly and 2 years down the road I need to make a claim and the iPad needs replaced, how is that handled? Since my iPad will (most likely) not be made anymore and the parts for it would be no longer available.

Would they replace it with a similar current model? Would they actually have these iPads still in stock but not for sale?

Thanks everyone in advance for the answers.

They have parts stock, and refurbished unit stock, for quite a long time.

Not sure about everywhere, but in Canada, the AC+ replacements are refurbs (you can tell by the SN).

iPad Pro 2018 is still produced even after two years, though they are either refurbed or repaired units. I don’t think they have a lot of brand new units at this point.
Regardless, buying AC means Apple is obligated to offer hardware service at a reasonable form to remedy hardware defect and such. Most of the time, Apple staff will take proper actions to get your broke iPad fixed or replaced.

You will be given a refurbished unit as a replacement device.

It is better to use Apple Care when new model is out for few months. Then you have high chances that Apple do not have refurbished devices.

This is the reason why I do not pay for this ********. I do not want to my brand new device for cheap refurbished alternative that can have various defects.
