Hey guys...

I was wondering what your thoughts are on the above. obviously we don't know anyting for sure, but what do you think is going to happen about it?

There's no way i'm carrying around a $600 phone uninsured... plus... i'm gong to be in England as soon as i get it so everyone is going to want to steal it.

Applecare? Insurance from At&T?

It'll be interesting to see the offerings. Presumably AppleCare won't cover theft or accidental damage, so I think it's up to AT&T to come through with something.

Hopefully AT&T will offer some form of insurance for the iPhone to protect against theft and/or accidental damage.

already asked ATT...

they will be offering no insurance at all on this phone.

Said fraud prevents them from offering insurance on all their new high end phones.

???? that makes no sense...

i'm going to have to get this phone insured somehow. any ideas?? are people reallly going to be walking around with the hottest phone in the world on friday and not have insurance???

Cingular/AT&T never offers insurance on high priced phones. Too many people call up and report them broken or stolen just to get another one for free. They stopped insuring high priced phones a few years ago. They recommend using your home owners insurance.

hmm i'll look into it. my insurance company has some crap BS thing that if you damage an electical item OUTSIDE the home, or even in the garden.. it's not covered by the home insurance. ugh.
