Hi there,

I’m selling my iPad Pro and would like to give the buyer an option to pay me say 6 months at a time to continue paying for the monthly AppleCare Plus. It looks like I’ll continue to be billed unless I cancel on the device itself with me logged into the iPad. If down the road the buyer did want to cancel AppleCare monthly - would I just reach out to Apple with that serial number to terminate service.

I can’t for the life of me find a way to manage my monthly AppleCare payments on the web and I just looked for my watch and can’t see where I go to manage that.

Any tips on the logistics of managing monthly AppleCare without the device - is it just a matter of keep the serial number handy and contact Apple when needed?

I can picture issues leaving your name on there. Just close the Apple Care and sell it. Plus I don't think anyone will want to deal with paying you monthly, or bi-annually.

Do you really want to deal with that either? Along with the new owner bothering you about repairs. Possibly them bothering you about non covered repairs and such. As you'll, in effect, be selling them coverage.

Just sell it. Be done with it. Never have to think about it again.

Get rid of AppleCare and relax. That would be my recommendation. :)

Seems like a headache to manage. Forget trying to squeeze every dollar out of a deal and just let it go. In the grand scheme of things, that isn’t much of a loss.

I’m not trying to squeeze money out but offer that so they are covered if they want that coverage - selling to a listener of my podcast and trust that they will be good to work with if they are interested in doing that - I don’t believe they would need to contact me about repair stuff - as long as the device is covered I don’t think Apple cares what name is in for the repair
