I haven’t purchased AC in the past with any Apple product, but for some reason I’m intrigued to get them for the AirPods Pro. On Apple.com it says $29 replacement for each incident. Does that mean if I need to replace both L and R AirPod at the same time it would only be $29?

Like before my AppleCare runs out and they “break”, I can get new ones under AppleCare for $29? If that’s the case, AC seems worth it for me.

Have you guys purchased AC? why or why not?

Never got AC+ before but got it for the APP.
Accidental damage is included in the cover (max twice).
I assume the 29 excess will replace both the buds.
And battery replacement will be free. I am not sure about this.

From what I understand, they don't actually replace the battery with a AC+ replacement, rather then just give you new buds.

Apple products are expensive. I have always purchased AC+ and never used it. Then, last year the crown on my SS Apple Watch broke. I called Apple support and they sent the new watch in two days. May never need it but, when you do it’s nice to have.

I listen to my AirPods Pro for 1-5 hours, every day, more or less. The way I figure, I'll have them replaced right before my AC+ runs out, in two years. So, fresh batteries.

$250 AirPods Pro
$29 AC+
$29 (x2?) for the replacement.
Total: $337 for at least four years of daily listening, with sanity-saving ANC.
$337/(4x365=1460)= $0.23/day. That's worth it to me, for ANC and iOS integration, etc. Might not be worth it to everyone, but it is, to me.

If you have to replace them in about 2 years would they give you latest model?

The APP’s have more tech that can fail so, I think it is worth buying AppleCare. If you look through the APP thread you will read quite a few complaints. I had to replace my first set due to poor seal. Second pair are perfect for now. Not convinced they will hold up over the long haul.
