I just bought an iBook about a month ago. I know it comes with a year of free AppleCare and 90 days free phone service, but you have the opportunity to extend the year to 3 years if you buy the plan. Sorry if this question sounds incredibly stupid: If I buy AppleCare after the 90 days free phone service expires, but before the year is up, do I get the phone service again? Or if I don't buy it within the 90 day time frame, is the phone service gone for good?

as soon as you buy Apple Care you get the service for 3 years from the date you bought the iBook

buy it now it does not make any difference

I would buy it now, but I'm a bit short on cash.

I am pretty sure that no matter when you buy it within the first year, you defnitely still get the 3 years of phone support too.
