Hi, I just purchased my first Mac (MBP) and it should be here the 17th...
Anyway I was just wondering how long I have until I can't get AppleCare...

Phone support runs out after 90 days, so after that time, it can be hard to even get the warranty service you're entitled to without Apple charging you to talk to them. But you can certainly hold off on buying AppleCare until you need it, as long as you buy it within that first year. Also don't forget to activate it once you purchase it...that also must be completed within the one-year deadline.

So does it add 2 extra years from your original date of purchase or does it begin the day you activate it?
