I just checked my AppleCare status on my 2019 Mac Pro. It shows that it is scheduled to renew on July 15, 2024 for $109.99/month! Is that what it costs now? Over $1,200/year?

that's pretty expensive but someone posted that they had to replace their login board and that cost $799 so it may me worth it

No it's per year, at least for me:

My motherboard died (bad bank of memory slots) and the replacement would have cost near $7000. It was nuts. I have a 28core (from apple) board.

$109.99/year is what I "expected", but this is what I see on my new iPad I got today when I check

We will see what it costs when mine comes up to renewal.

It’s a very expensive machine so safer to renew. Mine is the price of a fairly well equipped VW Golf these days.

I tried to get AppleCare+ for my M1 Mac Mini, back when I first got it, but it apparently never happened. When did monthly/annual renewable AppleCare+ start for Macs and not just iPhone/iWatch/iPad, etc. devices? How do you get it, nowadays? Do you have to buy direct from Apple, to get it (well, my wife did buy my M1 Mac Mini from Apple, but...)?

I got mine direct from Apple and had to order it over the phone because there was a glitch on their website.

That was in 2022

$110/yr. would be an awesome price for continuous coverage. That's $9.17/mo. for continuous coverage of a Mac?!? SIGN ME UP! I wish I could get it for my M1 Mac Mini, but too late. I'll make sure I get it for the next Mac Mini that is worth getting ("just to have", mostly 😁).

This would be one of those times that you should call AppleCare to check...
Agree - I had a really great experience with my new-in-box Mac Pro 7,1 when the rep took my pdf receipt (with serial number added) and validated the "new", activated the warranty, and then told me I was good for AppleCare+ should I choose to purchase it.

Well worth a call.

Recently extended my AppleCare and like others, it was $100-ish for another year. Has to be a mistake at $110/month.

just wondering how long can you continue to extend he apple care?
No idea. I will continue to do so for as long as I own the 7,1 (despite not have had any issues since new). I wish I could have extended my Pro Display XDR, that is the one that really scares me.

My renewal comes up on the 15th. I need to call AppleCare as my iPhone still shows renewal at 109.99/MONTH!

I did receive a Renewal Notice via email two weeks ago that says $109.99/YEAR? The phone still shows per month?
