Hello.

I was going to buy the iPhone 12 pro outright at pre order on Friday.

My question is, can I add on AppleCare+ after I’ve received the device and pay monthly for that coverage!?
I don’t want to pay the coverage outright which is the only option it gives me when selecting AppleCare+.

Thanks.

Yes you can, use to Settings -> General -> About, it will have warranty info and the option of adding AppleCare+ within 60 days.

Your options are:
* Pay outright after purchasing the phone
* add it to your monthly finance agreement.

You could pay for AppleCare with PayPal credit but that is only interest free for 4 months.

I won’t have a finance agreement for the phone.
I just want to pay the AppleCare+ in monthly instalments.

Is that possible?

Usually for insurances (which is what AppleCare+ essentially is) I pay in monthly instalments, with the exception of car insurances.

Do people see value in AppleCare+?

I guess there is a chance I’ll crack the screen, I probably do this once every four years or so.. So AppleCare+ would be £200+£25excess vs. £266.44 without AppleCare+.. Seems to me it’s worth the risk to go without, or am I missing something.

Yes apple says its available monthly..

Yes you can pay monthly it works like any Apple subscription.

Will also run and run until you cancel it so if you want 4 or 5 years of cover, now you can.

Yes it is. I bought a 11 pro Max from Amazon last month and paid monthly for Apple care+.because I was not sure how long I would keep it.
In tha Apple support app, click on the device details and you will see the option to buy AppleCare. Click on this and you will be given the choice of buying it outright or paying monthly.

Anyone bought the Applecare monthly coverage for their iPhone 12 Pro yet? It said £9.99 a month on the first screen. Although was only charged £7.99 a month for the subscription. Must be a misprice. Applecare definitely registered for iPhone 12 Pro device type.
